Kimchi Maker

Kimchi is a traditional fermented ethnic food of Korea, which consists of fermented vegetables and species, the making of Kimchi is preserved in some Korean families as a ritual.

In a small traditional market of Seoul, I found this woman who produces and sells Kimchi to the neighbourhood, an old occupation that is despairing due to industrial production. The images show the set up of the shop inside and outside, the multiple containers she uses and her presence and functional movements during a day in her basement shop.
